Working with technology and equipment from vendor partners D-Tools and Meridian Audio, BHT converted a home’s top floor office into a state-of-the-art home theater, the crowning jewel of a complete home technology renovation. The room’s previous iteration featured an inviting fireplace and custom cherry cabinetry which, thanks to precision engineering and thoughtful design, was largely able to be retained and reconfigured to provide an elegant solution to conceal the equipment that operates the system.

Beyond Home Theater (BHT) was recently recognized by CEPro, the leading consumer electronics trade publication, for a Los Angeles home theater project that goes “beyond what the homeowner expected.”

“…D-Tools’ ability to generate room drawings including screen elevations and cross sections was crucial to make sure everything in the screen wall was going to fit perfectly, down to half-inch to quarter-inch tolerances.”

The detailed specifications came into play not just in the aesthetics of the room design, but also in the incorporation of Meridian’s audio performance as well. From acoustics and speaker locations to future-planning for 3-D surround sound, planning and design came together for seamless integration of the theater experience.

Most importantly, the client couldn’t be happier with the experience and the results. While the project did exceed even his own expectations, he wasn’t surprised—this was his third high-tech project with Beyond Home Theater.
